🔐 Iagon × Fireblocks Launch Cardano Vault for Institutional Custody

Iagon and Fireblocks announced Cardano Vault, an enterprise control layer for Cardano-native operations that lets institutions manage ADA and Cardano Native Assets at Fireblocks the same way they manage other digital assets. The product includes vault accounts, controlled signing, approval workflows, auditability, and native support for staking, reward withdrawals, and governance participation.

The integration is built on Fireblocks' MPC custody framework, opening Cardano to the same institutional-grade infrastructure already securing trillions in digital asset flows. According to a Fireblocks April 2026 survey, 88% of financial institutions have committed or will commit budget to digital-asset infrastructure this year, with 53% already spending at production scale.

Cardano Vault opens a direct path for treasuries, custodians, and fintechs to run ADA at production scale. Paired with Pyth Pro Oracle going live, the CLARITY Act advancing, and Node v11.0.1 reaching hard fork-ready status, this institutional plumbing makes Cardano materially more accessible to regulated capital.

🌙 Midnight Enters Mōhalu Phase

Charles Hoskinson confirmed that after the next major update to Midnight, the network will move into the Mōhalu Phase, the stage where Cardano SPOs can begin validating Midnight and where the DUST capacity exchange goes live.

DUST is Midnight's renewable, shielded resource used to pay for smart-contract execution and privacy-enhancing operations. It recharges automatically over time based on the amount of NIGHT a user holds. The Mōhalu Phase represents a major step toward full network decentralization, opening Midnight participation to Cardano's deepest pool of validator infrastructure and providing a marketplace mechanism for DUST capacity.

The phase is expected to roll out in Q2–Q3 2026 and follows the December 2025 mainnet launch and ongoing testnet 02 activity. This is one of the clearest signals that Cardano's partner-chain strategy is moving from architecture to live, validator-grade integration.

 🤖 VESPR Teases Cardano MCP

VESPR Wallet teased the release of Cardano MCP, a Model Context Protocol interface that lets AI models like Claude query Cardano blockchain data in plain English, without requiring custom integration code. VESPR is one of Cardano's most-used wallets, powering over half of the network's daily user activity.

The work complements parallel development by Indigo Protocol on its own open-source Cardano MCP server. The MCP standard has been rapidly adopted across the AI industry as the de facto way for LLMs to interact with external data sources, meaning every Cardano MCP server effectively makes Cardano a first-class citizen in the new generation of AI agents.

Combined with Midnight's emerging role as a privacy-first settlement layer for AI agent payments (x402, OWS), Cardano is positioning itself across the entire AI-agent stack: discovery and query on Cardano, payments and privacy on Midnight.
