π Cardano and Injective Connect via IBC on Testnet

the Cardano Foundation confirmed that Cardano and Injective are now connected via the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol on testnet. Injective becomes the first chain with a live on-chain IBC rail to Cardano, built on the cardano-ibc-incubator work whose light-client PRs to Injective and Osmosis were flagged in the Foundation's May 2026 update.
Per the announcement, $ADA is coming to Injective and $INJ is coming to Cardano, with both assets usable across the two ecosystems for transfers, trading and DeFi.
The significance is architectural: IBC is a trustless, native cross-chain standard, not a custodial bridge. Bridges have been the single largest source of exploited funds in crypto, so a light-client-based rail into the wider Cosmos IBC network widens interoperability on #Cardano without inheriting bridge custody risk, exactly the kind of plumbing that lets liquidity move where it's most useful.
π€ Cardano Adds Open Wallet Standard Support, Integrated by WingRiders

Charles Hoskinson confirmed that Cardano now supports the Open Wallet Standard (OWS), with the integration completed by Cardano DEX WingRiders. OWS is an open, MIT-licensed framework. originally open-sourced by MoonPay and backed by a 21-organization coalition. that gives AI agents a common wallet layer to hold funds and sign transactions across multiple chains.
The move brings Cardano into the emerging "agent economy," letting autonomous agents transact natively on the network rather than through bespoke, chain-specific tooling.
The strategic read is about standards, not just features. As AI agents begin holding balances and settling payments on their own, the chains that plug into shared, neutral wallet layers are the ones agents can reach by default. Cardano adopting OWS, with a community DEX doing the integration work, is a bid to be present where machine-to-machine transactions get wired up on #Cardano, alongside its earlier seat in the x402 payments standard.
ποΈ Midnight Partners With Lumera Protocol for Decentralized Storage

Midnight, Cardano's privacy-focused partner chain, has partnered with Lumera Protocol to bring decentralized storage to the Midnight Network. Lumera's storage layer lets builders store data permanently without relying on centralized providers or manual pinning, keeping information available by default rather than dependent on a single host.
The integration strengthens the infrastructure behind Midnight, giving developers a decentralized way to keep data available as the network moves toward broader rollout.
The theme is completeness. A privacy chain is only as useful as the stack around it, and durable, censorship-resistant storage is one of the pieces that turns a protocol into something teams can actually build production apps on. Paired with Midnight's move into the Confidential Computing Consortium, it shows the network assembling both the hardware-trust and data-availability layers at once, the quiet groundwork that has to land before privacy-preserving applications can scale on #Cardano.
