🧩 Lace Showcases Bitcoin-Cardano Bridge at The Bitcoin Conference

At Bitcoin Conference 2025, Lace — the official light wallet of Cardano — unveiled a major leap in cross-chain interoperability: a trust-minimized bridge enabling seamless Ordinals movement between Bitcoin and Cardano.

Developed in collaboration with Input Output Global and FairGate Labs, this solution allows users to move Bitcoin-native assets like Ordinals to the Cardano blockchain in a secure, transparent way — all within the Lace wallet.

The live demo showcased how Lace can now serve as a bridge between two of the most secure blockchains in the world, opening new opportunities for composability, DeFi, and digital ownership across ecosystems.

This innovation marks a turning point in Cardano’s expansion, proving its growing technical leadership and its ability to connect with Bitcoin’s infrastructure — without compromising decentralization.

🇲🇽 Cardano Azteca 2025: More Roots in Latin America

Cardano Azteca 2025 gathered global blockchain leaders in Mexico City to accelerate Web3 adoption across Latin America. The event focused on education, entrepreneurship, community governance, and how Cardano’s infrastructure can drive real-world impact in the region.

Panels, workshops, and keynotes explored how decentralized technologies are reshaping finance and empowering local communities. Notable speakers included Mauro Andreoli (Latam Intersect Hub Manager), Otávio Lima (Founder of Cardano Feed & Governance Space), and Lucas Macchiavelli (Cardano Newsletter Co-Founder and Co-Founder of TokenAllies).

The strong presence of institutions like the Cardano Foundation and Input Output Global (IOG), along with local universities and builders, reflects a growing movement to make Cardano a cornerstone of Latin America’s digital transformation.

🛠️ NMKR Hosts 24-Hour Cardano Hackathon at Berlin Blockchain Week

Co-hosted with Cardano and Masumi, the event is open to anyone passionate about Web3, AI, and decentralized tech — no advanced coding required. Whether you're a dev, designer, content creator or just curious, there's space to contribute.

💰 $15,000 in prizes will be distributed across three tracks:

  • Cardano – Build dApps that solve real-world problems

🎊 A Message from Lucas

Hey everyone! Just got back from Mexico! Got the opportunity to speak to over +200 students during Azteca 2025. Like mentioned in this newsletter we got to present Cardano to university students from Mexico. First at the University of Tlaxcala, then at the Puebla Convention center. Amazing opportunity to engage with the Mexico community and my fellow Latin builders.
