Cardano Constitution is ready for On-Chain Voting. The end of the beginning...

The Cardano Constitution reached a historic milestone this week with its Delegates ratification in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the Cardano Constitutional Convention. Delegates from 52 countries overwhelmingly approved the document with 95% in favor, cementing a transparent and community-driven governance framework.

This constitution sets the principles for Cardano's operations, ensuring inclusivity and decentralized decision-making. After 63 Workshops held all around the world, delegated gathered in Buenos Aires and Nairobi to vote on the final version of the constitution. Next steps include uploading the constitution onchain where DReps and the Constitutional Commitee will vote to officialy ratify the Cardano Constitution

Hydra Achieves 1 Million Transactions Per Second

Cardano's Hydra protocol demonstrated its impressive scalability by processing 1 million transactions per second (TPS) during a virtual Doom tournament. By treating each game frame as a transaction, the test highlighted Hydra's potential in gaming and high-frequency applications.

As a Cardano scaling solution, Hydra allows transactions to occur off-chain, reducing congestion and enhancing speed. This test validates Hydra's design and positions Cardano as a leader in blockchain scalability. Analysts note that real-world implementation will further test these capabilities,

Cardano Foundation X account has been compromised.

The Cardano Foundation's X account was hacked on December 8, 2024. Hackers exploited the account to promote a fake token named "ADAsol," falsely claiming that the Cardano Foundation would stop supporting ADA due to an SEC lawsuit.

The Cardano Foundation quickly acknowledged the hack and started working on securing the account. They advised users not to interact with any links from the compromised account. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, confirmed the security breach via his social media, ensuring the community that no other parts of the Cardano ecosystem were affected.

🎊 A Message from Lucas

Hey Cardano fam!

This week has been incredible as we've gathered in Argentina for the Cardano Constitutional Convention. It's not just about drafting a document; it's about shaping the future governance of our ecosystem. Seeing over 100 community members travel here shows how much we all care. It's a testament to our commitment to Cardano's vision.

I´ve never experienced something like this. We literally wrote a constitution for a digital nation, Its still too early to put it into words properly, will probably do an article/video or something like that once a few days has passed.

On another topic, If you haven’t had the chance yet, I kindly ask for your support by voting for my proposals in both Token Allies and the Cardano Newsletter. Due to a packed schedule here in Argentina, where I’ve been deeply involved in activities surrounding the Cardano Constitution ratification, I wasn’t able to promote my proposals as much as I would have liked. Your vote is crucial in helping these initiatives gain momentum and continue contributing to the growth and success of the Cardano ecosystem. It would mean a lot if you could take only a few minutes and vote for us :)

Proposals:

  • Migration of our SmartContract architecture from Marlowe to Aiken

  • ID-LATAM: Empowering Decentralized Digital Identity

  • Midnight Gamers: Bootcamp for Future Game Creators

Thank you for your support!
