Lace 1.17 Launch: A New Era of Security and Collaboration

Lace 1.17, the latest version of the Cardano light wallet, has been released. This update introduces a new feature: shared wallets. Shared wallets, also known as multi-signature wallets, enhance security by requiring multiple authorized parties to approve transactions.

By creating shared wallets, users can distribute control over their digital assets among multiple individuals. This feature is particularly useful for organizations or families who want to share access to funds while maintaining security.

Lace continues to provide a user-friendly experience for managing Cardano assets and interacting with Web3 applications. By using a light wallet approach, Lace avoids the need to synchronize the entire blockchain, making it a convenient and efficient solution for Cardano users. READ MORE

Obymare Release: A New Stablecoin for Cardano

Big BLYMP, the creator behind the Yamfore Protocol introduced Obymare this week, a new stablecoin protocol built specifically for the Cardano blockchain. Obymare leverages the proven design of the Liquity Protocol on Ethereum, making key optimizations for Cardano's unique architecture.

Key features of Obymare:

  • Decentralization: Obymare operates without any governance mechanisms, ensuring stability and security.

  • Over-collateralization: The protocol maintains a strong peg through over-collateralization and monetary incentives.

  • Efficiency: Obymare's design optimizes for Cardano's concurrent transaction model, enabling faster processing and more efficient liquidations.

The Role of OBYUSD:

OBYUSD, the native stablecoin of Obymare, will play a crucial role in the BLYMP ecosystem. It will be integrated with Yamfore PTP, a decentralized lending protocol, to enable features like insured pools and enhanced borrowing capabilities.

Obymare creates a powerful ecosystem that benefits all participants. This protocol works toward enhancing user experience, increasing liquidity, and driving innovation on the Cardano blockchain. By launching Obymare, Big BLYMP aims to provide a robust and secure stablecoin solution for the Cardano ecosystem, further solidifying its position as a leading blockchain platform. READ MORE

Bodega Market Launches Public Testnet and Mainnet

Bodega Market, a decentralized prediction market built on Cardano with a mission to build a secure and user-friendly platform, has recently launched its public testnet and mainnet.

The Testnet:

The public testnet allowed the team to test the platform's functionality and identify any potential issues before the mainnet launch. The testnet focused on a single prediction: the outcome of Game 3 of the World Series.

The Mainnet:

The mainnet launch marks the official debut of Bodega Market. The first prediction on the mainnet is the outcome of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. This limited launch allows the team to gather feedback and make improvements for future updates.

Amid both of these launches, Bodega Market announced its prioritization of  security and transparency. All of the platform's smart contracts will undergo a thorough audit to ensure their integrity and reliability.

Bodega Market aims to expand its offerings beyond elections to include sports, crypto prices, and other global events. The platform's goal is to become a leading decentralized prediction market on the Cardano blockchain. READ MORE

🎊 A Message from Lucas 🎊

Hey everyone! Lucas here, I just finished the Costa Rica synthesis workshop, an event dedicated to finding key conflict points before the Constitutional Convention. I have mixed feelings about it, but I can say overall we are going in the right direction. It was two full days of debate and discussions preparing for the Cardano Constitutional Convention in Argentina, which I will be participating and voting on.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Cardano Newsletter team covered the LABITCONF event in Buenos Aires that took place on Friday and Saturday. It was packed with speakers from all over the world, including key Argentine politicians who have an appreciation for crypto and blockchain technology. Make sure you're following us on X to see the team’s coverage! In the following days, we will be publishing exclusive interviews we did at the event.
