This week on Cardano…

NuNet announced its alliance with the Linux Foundation Edge

NuNet, a Cardano project focused on building a decentralized computing framework, announced this week its alliance with Linux Foundation Edge and Cloud Native Computing Foundation, two umbrella organizations committed to pushing the boundaries of decentralized computing.

As an open-source, serverless peer-to-peer platform, NuNet enables secure exchanges between autonomous devices and artificial intelligence or machine learning agents. Powered by the NuNet Utility Token (NTX), NuNet allows users to monetize their hardware and data, contributing to a global economy of cloud computing. The platform operates cross-chain, running on Cardano, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain.

By entering into these partnerships, NuNet’s focus will be on enhancing connectivity, security, and efficiency in decentralized computing applications, driving significant advancements in edge computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things technology. Read More

IAGON and Dedium announced partnership to advance the DePIN industry

Along the same lines, IAGON also announced its partnership with Dedium, a decentralized network providing access to graphics processing unit (GPU) resources for artificial intelligence and machine learning training, rendering, and more.

Iagon is a global tech decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) with a mission to build a shared storage economy with data compliance, privacy, and security. The platform uses advanced decentralized data sharding, which involves splitting and distributing data across multiple nodes. This method enhances security by making data fragments inaccessible to unauthorized users. Dedium in turn is a decentralized computing platform built on Cardano, designed to enable users to monetize their GPUs. By contributing GPU power, participants earn DEDI tokens, fostering a more accessible and cost-effective computing environment and democratizing access to GPU resources.

Together, Iagon and Dedium will advance the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) industry on Cardano. As Cardano's shared storage economy, Iagon announced that it will work to meet Dedium’s storage needs. Client-shared files will be encrypted, fragmented, and stored across multiple nodes for complete privacy, with only the task-performing node and the client having the keys to reassemble the files.

This partnership is just another example of how the DePIN sector on Cardano is growing and driving innovation. By fostering innovation and integration across various platforms such as these, Cardano is set to make a substantial impact in the decentralized infrastructure landscape. Read More

Sky Protocol, a universal data availability Layer 2 protocol

This week, a new project was introduced to Cardano, Sky Protocol, a universal data availability Layer 2 protocol that maximizes scalability and interoperability. Sky Protocol aims to propel the Cardano ecosystem to be faster, private, and censorship-resistant, all while being protected by a shared Data Availability Network. The team is composed of former Glow language developers, commissioned by IOHK.

Sky Protocol proposes a universal scalability architecture for Cardano side chains. Scaling side chains on Cardano necessitates a robust Data Availability Solution. Sky Protocol offers a capital-efficient approach to address this challenge, ensuring all Layer 2 decentralized applications on Cardano can function smoothly and effectively.

Among the key benefits listed by Sky Protocol, you can find enhanced data availability, a cohesive and cost-efficient network, time-locked blinding of data for greater security, Layer 2 versatility, a continuum of validation options, lower transaction costs, expanded functionality, and more. Chains of War is now available on Epic Games

Cardano based game, Chains of War, announced this week that it is available for download on the Epic Games Store! This game supports or includes the use of Blockchain, NFT technology, or Cryptocurrency. It allows players to mint their digital loot, enabling them to trade their purchases and earned items freely. Players can also convert in-game currency to a cryptocurrency called $MIRA, providing an opportunity to earn real-world money.

Chains of War is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, in combination with the Cardano blockchain and the Midnight blockchain. Players have full control over their in-game assets, allowing them to resell, trade, or use them as they see fit. Besides the monetary value, the integration with the Midnight blockchain enhances anti-cheat measures and offers superior privacy protection compared to traditional systems. Read More
